Cuckoo Penn Hideaway is a charming oak framed cottage for couples, families, groups of friends and walking enthusiasts looking to stay in Middleyard, King’s Stanley, on the Cotswold Way with access to the many amenities and attractions throughout Gloucestershire. Be welcomed into a tastefully appointed living space, a kitchen with contemporary décor and ample amenities to cater to your culinary needs, and throughout this space wooden flooring adds a homely feel, and from here, discover a dining table for six where you can enjoy a meal with your family/friends. Afterwards, settle into the quirky sitting area, with a Smart TV, stylish sofa and eye-catching wallpaper and glorious oak beams. Downstairs there is also a handy cloakroom and a boot room and/or drying cupboard. From here, guests can access the rear enclosed garden through patio doors and enjoy dining alfresco in the sunshine with a glass of their favourite beverage, or stoke up the BBQ. Outside, there is also a private 6 person hot tub for an indulgent evening spent reflecting on the day’s events whilst enjoying tranquil countryside views with no noise except the birds. Ascend the stairs to discover a beautiful large snug/ living room with plush carpets, tasteful furniture, and a Smart TV, a lovely spot to enjoy a good book beneath the oak beams and vaulted ceilings, or sit, relax and look out over valleys through the balcony window. The king-size bedroom also sports characterful roof beams and skylights, with complete blackout blinds, and houses plenty of storage for your belongings. The bedroom is serviced by a contemporary shower room. There are two further ground-floor bedrooms, including a king-size with en-suite and a double. King’s Stanley is a lovely town with a selection of shops, pubs and tasty eateries for guests to enjoy. The town is in a fantastic location for exploring the scenery of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with plenty of countryside walks available for guests, and the Cotswold Way running directly next to the property. Take yourself straight up into the woods on the Cotswold Way, around onto Selsley common to see Gloucestershire from the hilltops. Stop at the award winning Bell Inn of Selsley for some food or drink after your walk for more amazing views over the Stroud valleys. There are many interesting sites to visit, including Corinium Museum, Westonbirt, The National Arboretum, Painswick Rococo Garden, Nympsfield Long Barrow and the Dean Heritage Centre. Head into the city of Gloucester or Cheltenham Spa where there are more shops, pubs and eateries, as well as riverside walks beside the River Severn, a selection of museums and a football stadium. Cuckoo Pen Lodge is a delightful cottage with an open-plan living space including a kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, washing machine, slimline dishwasher, coffee machine, a dining space for two and a sitting area with a Smart TV. There is also a cloakroom and a first-floor snug with Smart TV. There is a king-size bedroom, a ground-floor king-size and a ground-floor twin, serviced by a shower room with walk-in shower, basin and WC. Outside there is an enclosed rear garden with decking, barbecue, hot tub and furniture and off-road parking. Within 0.7 miles or less you will find a shop and a pub and please note this is a smoke-free and pet-free property. Fuel, power, bed linen, towels and WiFi included in the rent. Travel cot available.
