Jump in the car and head to the nearby attractions, where you can unveil the history of the wealthy family that once lived in the National Trust site of Wallington, tour the medieval monastery of Brinkburn Priory and Manor House, or treat the younger ones to a day at Northumberland Country Zoo. Visit the charming town of Alnwick, home to an iconic 12th century castle, The Bailiffgate Museum for fascinating facts or spend an afternoon at a poisonous garden for a unique experience.
