Cross the bridge onto the Isle of Scalpay and breathe in the refreshing Hebridean air with an invigorating walk around the island taking in the famous Eilan Glas lighthouse on the way. Tarbert is just a short drive away and here you can taste the delights of the Harris Gin Distillery and visit the Harris Tweed Centre to really immerse yourself in the local culture. A little further afield is Stornoway which is well worth a visit and is the gateway to exploring other neighbouring islands such as St Kilda and the Shiant Isles. For the family holiday of a lifetime, a trip to Braemore Cottage has to be on your bucket list. The islands can be reached by flights from Edinburgh, Glasgow or Inverness; or by ferry from Uig on Skye to Tarbert, or Ullapool to Stornoway. EPC Rating: Band B
