Tarbert is a pretty little village located in Argyll and Bute by the shores of the Firth of Clyde. Traditionally a fishing village, Tarbert is home to a supremely picturesque harbour with attractive houses dotted along the hillside and with its waterside setting, is a scenic place for a luxury cottage break.

By the harbour there is a gallery as well as a couple of cafes where you can happily while away the time whilst on a luxury self-catering break. Tarbert once had its own castle, the ruins of which remain and can be found via the footpath on Harbour Street. If you enjoy visiting historical buildings, travel further afield for Inveraray Castle, a true Scottish gem. For woodland walks head for Kilmory Woodland Park, located on the outskirts of nearby Lochgilphead.  Tarbert also has its own tourist information centre so on arrival you can freely access this valuable source of advice for information on local sights and attractions.

Perhaps the best attraction of Argyll and Bute are the waters that surround this county and the sports this allows for. Fishing and boating are popular pastimes and you may opt to try your hand at one or both when enjoying a luxury break in or close to Tarbert.
