Situated in beautiful countryside only five miles north of Chippenham and six miles from Malmesbury, the village of Upper Seagry is set in the south of the Cotswolds. This rural location provides a great base from which to explore this fascinating area and visitors can enjoy ample footpaths and bridleways, or alternatively, take a trip to Malmesbury boasting a 12th Century Benedictine Abbey. The Cotswold Water Park offers a great day out, whilst Westobirt Arboretum - with its extensive collection of trees and shrubs - is not to be missed. The picturesque village of Castle Combe is within easy driving distance and is well known for its car racing track whilst the quaint National Trust village of Lacock is also close by and was used as the setting for the BBC TV serial, 'Cranford'. The impressive Roman city of Bath, Bowood House, and the ancient stone circle at Avebury are all within an hour's drive and are well worth visiting.
