More about luxury holidays in Stirling

Stirling is a county found at Scotland’s heart; it is also home to Scotland’s newest city and boasts both historic and contemporary culture. Set within mountains, rocky crags and the fantastic River Forth, Stirling is described as ‘the brooch that clasps together the highlands and the lowlands’. The city of Stirling is also the gateway to Scotland’s first National Park, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs and the county is home to a beautiful castle, Stirling Castle which is the second most popular castle in the country. Stirling city is a fantastic place to experience some brilliant shopping, with the Thistles Shopping centre and the Victorian Crawford Arcade and Bridge of Allan. When it comes to sightseeing there is plenty to keep you busy in Stirling, whether you want to look into Stirling’s past and visit The Bastian, Stirling Old town Jail or The Bannockburn Heritage Centre or if you’d rather admire the artwork at The Changing room or take in some fresh air at The King’s Knot park. If entertainment for the kids is what you need then why not spend the day exploring at Ailie’s Garden, count the steps at the National Wallace Monument or spend the day at Blair Drummond Safari and Adventure Park. On the other hand if you’re someone who is visiting Stirling for the great outdoors then there are also some fantastic opportunities to enjoy sport in the county including; horse riding, angling, walking, cycling, hill climbing, kayaking or even white water rafting. You can also find a good variety of golf courses, parks and adventure sport companies that provide you with exciting days out. Don’t leave anyone behind, search Luxury dog-friendly accommodation.
