Powys is the largest county in Wales covering central and mid Wales as well as the majority of the Brecon Beacons. With unspoilt countryside, inspiring mountain ranges and exciting opportunities, Powys is a wonderful county to visit for an insight into Welsh culture. There is no chance of you getting bored in this fantastic county due to the stunning rivers, beautiful haunted castles, fantastic mountain trails and brilliant cycle paths. There are so many opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors you will be spoilt for choice. Spend the day fishing at a quiet lake or river, enjoy a family hack through superb woodland, go for a paddle on the River Wye in a canoe or enjoy a sunny game of golf.
