Cottage,

Dol Blodau is new to Sykes for summer 2024 and is a delightful lodge resting in the heart of the Welsh countryside, just a short distance from Newbridge on Wye. Home to standout views of the countryside and positioned away from the noisy roads and towns, this lovely property is the one to pick for a memorable retreat. As you open the door to your new home away from home you will find the open-plan kitchen, dining and living area which is full of everything you could need from a well-equipped kitchen, sophisticated dining seating and a sitting area with a Smart TV so you can keep up on all your shows while you are away. The traditional decor is a lovely sight inside this property as well as the views of the sprawling green countryside that greet you from the windows. You also have the absolute privilege of indulging in your own private hot tub, spacious enough for all four guests at once, which allows you to soak up the joy in the bubbling tub while you enjoy those charming views. When the sun sets, the super-king-size bedrooms will invite you to take refuge under the covers for the night before you rise the next day and prepare yourself in the shower room with a soothing rinse. Dol Blodau lies in the heart of some of the most unspoilt scenery in Wales, you are surrounded by traditional hay meadows and areas of woodland, parkland and wet pasture leading down to the banks of the River Wye. The Cambrian Mountains are the undiscovered heart of Wales, an area of outstanding natural beauty which offers wild empty spaces, from woodland walks to the more challenging routes that take you into the vast moorlands, one of the least visited spots in Wales you can feel that you have the place to yourself. For star gazers you must visit the Elan Valley Estate, an International Dark Sky Park, made up of 6 Dark Sky Discovery Sites and the perfect place to see the night skies at their best. This spot of countryside is also steeped in history which can be seen at the Nant-y-Gro Dam remains, Hafod Estate and Llanwrtyd & District Heritage & Arts Centre all of which are easily accessible by car. Your wonderful escape is calling to you, treat yourself and those dear to you by booking your stay at Dol Blodau. Note: This property can be booked with ref.1128628, sleeping up to 6 guests.
