Cottage with open fire,

Brook Farm is a stunning Grade II listed farmhouse that dates back to 1540, located in the picturesque countryside of St Nicholas near Halesworth in Suffolk. Situated on 2.3 acres of beautiful gardens and orchards, this historic property offers a tranquil escape for families or groups of friends looking to explore the rural landscapes and coastal towns of Suffolk. Surrounded by rural land, the farmhouse attracts a variety of wildlife, including doves, deer, rabbits, ducks, and hares, adding to the peaceful ambiance of the surroundings.

Upon stepping into Brook Farm, guests are greeted by a property that has been lovingly maintained to preserve many of its original period features, such as wooden beams that stretch throughout the interior and charming inglenook fireplaces that exude warmth and character. The sitting room features furniture that complements the wood-burning stove and traditional roof beams, creating a cozy space for relaxation and socializing. The heart of the home lies in the spacious kitchen/diner, where modern décor blends seamlessly with historical elements, providing ample amenities for any aspiring chef and a large dining table for communal meals. An additional formal dining room offers an elegant setting for special occasions.

The farmhouse boasts four bedrooms, each uniquely designed with period details and individual character. Guests can retreat to a super-king bed and three double bedrooms for a restful night's sleep. Two bathrooms, including a beautifully appointed shower room on the ground floor and a classic bathroom on the first floor, cater to the needs of visitors, ensuring comfort and convenience during their stay. The expansive grounds surrounding the property include mature gardens, an orchard with a variety of fruit trees, a football pitch, a fire pit area, and a private lake overlooking a ten-person eco-friendly wood-fired hot tub. This outdoor oasis provides a perfect spot to unwind, surrounded by nature's beauty and wildlife.

For additional entertainment, a games room is located in the original barn, offering a space for leisurely evenings of fun and laughter, though it's worth noting that the barn does not have power or heating supply. The nearby town of Halesworth offers a range of attractions, such as the Millennium Green, Halesworth Gallery, and the Halesworth and District Museum, providing insights into the local history and culture. Should guests wish to explore further afield, the charming coastal town of Southwold is nearby, boasting a vast sandy beach, shops, eateries, and countryside walks at RSPB Minsmere and Dunwich. Brook Farm provides an idyllic base for discovering the diverse landscapes and attractions of Suffolk, ensuring a memorable and relaxing retreat for all who visit.
