Cottage,

The Oakroyd is an impressive and picturesque detached late Victorian property located in the charming town of Ingleton, nestled in North Yorkshire. Recently renovated in 2023 from its former status as an old guest house, the refurbishment has skillfully preserved the original charm while integrating modern elements, offering guests a blend of historical appeal and contemporary comforts. Situated in close proximity to various amenities and attractions, and with easy access to renowned natural landscapes such as the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Lake District, and the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Oakroyd serves as an ideal home base for families and friends seeking to explore the diverse offerings of the surrounding area.

Upon entering this magnificent property, guests are greeted by a porch featuring original stained glass on the door and decorative floor tiles. The interior unfolds into a stunning kitchen/diner exuding opulence, highlighted by wood paneling lending character to the space. The kitchen boasts a range of amenities catering to culinary needs, including an island with bar stools and a spacious dining table for gatherings. A convenient utility room with coat and shoe storage provides access to the enclosed rear garden and outbuilding. The front sitting room continues the luxurious ambiance, furnished with tasteful decor, Chesterfield sofas, and a Smart 4K TV. The rear sitting room offers a comfortable L-shaped sofa and a large OLED Smart 4K TV with a Dolby Atmos soundbar, accompanied by a gaming console, a selection of games, and a chest brimming with board games for entertainment. Bi-fold doors lead from the rear sitting room to the patio and garden, where ample seating allows for alfresco dining and socializing opportunities.

After a day of exploration, guests can refresh themselves in the two sleek and elegant bathrooms or the remarkably designed private en-suites, each presenting a tranquil and high-quality retreat. The property features six bedrooms, each adorned with stylish decor, ample storage, and equipped with Smart 4K TVs. The first floor houses three super-king-size bedrooms, two of which feature en-suites, while one includes the added luxury of a lounge/dressing room. The second floor reveals three additional king-size bedrooms, with two capable of being set up as twins upon request. One of the bedrooms on this level is a suite, comprising a lounge/dressing room and en-suite facilities. The exceptional location of The Oakroyd situates it at the end of Main Street in Ingleton, just a short walk from the village's amenities.

Ingleton itself offers a range of self-catering options, with two well-stocked local convenience stores within walking distance, as well as a selection of village shops. The village boasts a diverse array of pubs, bars, cafes, restaurants, and takeaways, including notable establishments such as Mason’s Freehouse, The Wheatsheaf, Peaks and Troughs, Ingleton Chippy, and the award-winning The OPO Bar.
