Hope Cottage is a charming and beautifully presented period home nestled in the heart of the picturesque village of Longborough. Steeped in tradition, the cottage exudes character and offers a serene retreat surrounded by stunning countryside. It is an ideal setting for a peaceful holiday, accommodating up to six guests across three well-appointed bedrooms.

Upon entering through the garden, guests are welcomed by the quaint entrance hall, complete with hooks for coats and umbrellas, a space for muddy boots, and a convenient cloakroom. The entrance leads to the inviting kitchen/diner, designed in a beautiful farmhouse style with exposed Cotswold stone walls, oak beams, and flagstone flooring. The warm and cozy living room features a lovely Cotswold stone fireplace with a woodburning stove, leading to a bright sitting room with French doors opening to an airy conservatory where guests can enjoy the garden view throughout the year.

The first floor of the cottage houses three delightful bedrooms, each offering a unique charm. The master bedroom boasts a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a luxurious roll-top bath. The second bedroom features pretty wooden shutters and exposed oak framing with a double bed, while the third bedroom is split over two levels, offering a single bed on each level. The mezzanine area in bedroom three provides an additional single bed, ensuring a comfortable stay for all guests. A beautifully presented bathroom with a relaxing bath completes the first floor accommodations.

Outside, a well-maintained and private garden awaits, providing a tranquil space surrounded by mature trees, shrubs, and plants. A paved patio area covered by a wisteria-draped pergola houses a table and barbecue, perfect for al fresco dining. Adjacent to the patio is a spacious lawn area featuring a charming small pond, creating a serene setting for relaxation and enjoyment.

For those looking to explore the local area, Longborough offers a quaint setting just north of Stow-on-the-Wold. Guests can discover traditional Cotswold cottages, visit St James’ Church with its historical 12th-century features, or enjoy a meal at the village pub known for its home-cooked dishes. The area also offers beautiful countryside walks and easy access to nearby towns such as Moreton-in-Marsh and Bourton-on-the-Water, each boasting unique attractions such as historical houses, gardens, and charming village scenes.

Hope Cottage is a perfect choice for a memorable and idyllic stay, providing a charming retreat in the heart of the Cotswolds for families or groups of friends seeking a relaxing and immersive holiday experience.
