Cottage with open fire,

Nestled within the Cotswolds AONB, located in the heart of Blockley, Gloucestershire, is Ashton House, a charming and characterful three-storey dwelling. Centrally positioned, just paces away from a hub of amenities, whilst well-positioned to explore the rolling countryside, walkways, and cycle routes throughout the heart of England, Ashton House offers a homely base for a family of six and their canine companion. Park up on the roadside before reaching your now, Cotswolds stone home. Be welcomed into the inviting living/dining room, where you can gather as a family around the woodburning stove, as the chef of your group becomes acquainted with the sleek kitchen. Prepare meals and take advantage of the handy utility room, before dining altogether and planning your coming days. For some peace and quiet, find the second-floor snug, a nook for relaxation, where you can read a good book or delve into a film night. As your eyes tire, select between three well-appointed bedrooms; they include a stunning master king-size with a private dressing room and en-suite, a further king-size, and a second-floor twin. Awaken to either a bath or a shower in the family bathroom, before preparing to explore Blockley, home to a post office, convenience store, and The Great Western Arms for some hearty, British cuisine. Within the area, reach the Cotswold Falconry Centre, ideal for the whole family to experience, hike through the Bourton Woods, or travel a little further to explore Sezincote House & Garden, a stunning property, enveloped by pretty gardens. Be sure to pack your walking gear and bikes, to tour the region by following the Macmillan Way, Heart of England Way, and the Gloucestershire Way, or for a day of sightseeing, head to Bourton-on-the-Water, where you can discover The Model Village, tour the Cotswold Motoring Museum & Toy Collection, or follow the maze at The Dragonfly Maze attraction. Round off your trip with a visit to Cheltenham, home to the renowned Cheltenham Racecourse, and The Wilson Art Gallery and Museum, or venture further into Gloucester, for an afternoon near the docks, before taking in the beauty of Gloucester Cathedral. Experience all of this, and more, at Ashton House.
