Cottage with open fire,

April Cottage is a charming period property located in Mickleton, Gloucestershire, offering an idyllic retreat for families and groups of friends seeking a tranquil holiday in the picturesque countryside. The cottage, steeped in history, is thought to be around three hundred years old and boasts a blend of traditional timber frame and Cotswold stone architectural styles. Upon arrival, guests can park in the off-road parking space before stepping into the inviting sitting room. Here, traditional character abounds with oak beams, exposed Cotswold stone walls, and a woodburning stove, alongside underfloor heating to keep guests cozy while enjoying a movie on the Smart TV. The beautiful flagstone flooring leads to the kitchen/dining room, where modern appliances await to assist in creating delicious meals that can be enjoyed at the stylish dining table.

Adjacent to the kitchen/diner is a convenient utility room equipped with a washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as a cloakroom featuring a basin and WC. A set of relatively steep stairs winds up to the first floor, where three lovely bedrooms are nestled in the eaves of the cottage. The accommodations include a king-size bedroom with an en-suite walk-in shower, a double bedroom, and a twin bedroom—all offering ample storage space for guests' belongings. In the mornings, guests can luxuriate in a bath or refreshing power shower before brewing a cup of coffee using the Nespresso machine and heading to the enclosed garden at the front of the property. The garden offers peaceful views of the church down the lane and a charcoal barbecue for alfresco dining during warmer weather.

Situated on a quiet lane near the charming Church of St Lawrence, April Cottage serves as an ideal base for exploring the stunning landscape and quaint villages of the Cotswolds. Nearby destinations include Chipping Campden, where visitors can enjoy breakfast at Campden Coffee Co, take in breathtaking views at Dover’s Hill, and walk along the Cotswold Way—a 100-mile trail through picturesque countryside and historic sites. A visit to Shakespeare's birthplace, Stratford-upon-Avon, is also within easy reach, offering attractions like Magic Alley, the Stratford Butterfly Farm, and The MAD Museum, followed by a delightful dinner at one of the town's restaurants.

For an unforgettable holiday experience that the whole family will treasure, April Cottage provides a perfect blend of comfort, history, and access to the beauty and attractions of the Cotswolds and beyond.
