All in all, this Sussex cottage is just the place to relax, chat and plan, while enjoying the company of others. Just a four minute walk from this Sussex cottage is Rye's High Street; this picturesque town with its cobbled streets and medieval buildings was once the haunt of smugglers and highwaymen and has been a popular resort for visitors since Elizabethan times, plus from Rye railway station you can be in London in just over an hour. Fishing trips can be enjoyed from the harbour and on Thursdays the town buzzes with its famous market, where you can buy everything from homemade bread to freshly-grown vegetables. However you can't go home without enjoying a Sussex cream tea as you watch the world go by, whilst planning your return trip to this lovely Rye cottage. The Old Forge is situated in the harbour town of Rye in Sussex. This cottage sleeps six people in three bedrooms, consisting of a link super king-size double, a king-size double with en-suite shower and Juliet balcony and a double, as well as a family bathroom. The cottage also has an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside there is a rear enclosed courtyard with furniture and parking is available close by in a designated car parking space. If you wish to explore Sussex and the South of England, The Old Forge is the base to do it from. Note: No children under 5 years.
The town of Rye in East Sussex boasts a cobbled street, unusual shops, antique emporiums, tearooms, restaurants and pubs, as well as two weekly markets. Attractions in the area include steam train rides, stately homes, castles and beaches.
