Cottage,

Named after Beatrix Potter's lesser-known work, Ginger & Pickles is a delightful single-storey, mid-terraced cottage located in an elevated position within the grounds of the former Priory Hotel, offering stunning lake views and within walking distance of Windermere town. The cottage provides a perfect retreat for a couple looking to explore the beautiful Lake District, with private parking, shared grounds, and exclusive lake access for residents. The contemporary and inviting open-plan living area boasts a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining table for two overlooking the lake, and a comfortable lounge area with a smart TV, ideal for relaxing after a day of adventures.

Outside, a bistro table in front of the cottage offers a perfect spot to unwind with a glass of wine while watching the sunset over Windermere. The smart king-sized bedroom features ample storage, an en-suite shower room, and a window allowing glimpses of local wildlife, such as roe deer in the surrounding undergrowth. A private track from the cottage leads to a beach area and jetty, where guests can enjoy watching swans and steamers on the lake or take to the water with a paddleboard or canoe, accessible via a short walk to the lakeshore.

Several picturesque walks can be enjoyed directly from the cottage, with Orrest Head offering breathtaking views of the lake and fells. For avid hikers, classic Lakeland fell walks are easily reachable by car, including Langdale Pikes, Helm Crag, the Fairfield Horseshoe, and Scafell Pike. The area is also home to popular attractions like Lake Cruises, The World of Beatrix Potter, Dove Cottage (William Wordsworth's former residence), and National Trust properties such as Wray Castle, Townend, and Hill Top.
