Cottage,

Forestside View, a stylish, contemporary four-bedroom home rests in the picturesque village of Woodland, Durham. Enjoying panoramic, countryside views, nestled within a tranquil rural space in Teesdale near the North Pennines AONB, overlooking the stunning tourist attraction of Hamsterley Forest that lies just a short walk from the property, Forestside View is well-equipped for a large family break or celebration, inviting eight guests to this delightful region. Be welcomed by a gated, private driveway accommodating four cars, where you can unload your belongings whilst taking in the beauty of your surroundings. Inside, you will find four woodland themed bedrooms, each with its own bespoke hand carved wildlife bed and a Smart TV, three bathrooms including a downstairs wet room, and a large open plan kitchen and sitting room with exposed stone walls, this property offers everything required for a relaxing self-catered stay. Wake up to amazing views each morning, and in the evenings be sure to take advantage of your enclosed garden, where you can light the barbecue and dine alfresco, with sweeping countryside views in the backdrop, or even gaze up at the starry night vistas in the evenings, with the property being located in a "dark sky area" and on occasion offering glimpses of the brilliant Northern Lights. If you can tear yourself away from your retreat, head to enjoy the great outdoors with a host of attractions nearby. Take a walk through Hamsterley Forest, a breathtaking landscape housing a café, visitors centre, along with a wealth of hiking and biking trails, and a perfect spot for exploring and admiring the breathtaking views of nearby Barnard Castle, where you will find an abundance of shops, attractions, and eateries. Get a glimpse into the past at Bowes Museum, a magnificent French-style castle, or head to Middleton in Teesdale, a charming, market town. Experience the majesty of High Force and Low Force Waterfall, two of the most impressive and powerful waterfalls in the country, along the Teesdale Way. For an awe-inspiring view, visit Grassholme Observatory and witness the stars and planets in the night sky. For a unique experience, explore the grounds of Raby Castle, a majestic 14th-century castle with a history as rich as its grounds. Get lost in Plotters Forest, with its beautiful scenery, or take a step back to the Anglo-Saxon era at Escomb Saxon Church, a remarkable stone building that is one of only four that still remain in England to this day. Escape to your own countryside haven at Forestside View.
