This delightful cottage, once part of the village forge, has undergone sympathetic extensions over the years and now boasts a bright and welcoming interior with stylish decor and thoughtful touches throughout. The sitting area exudes warmth and comfort, featuring the original inglenook fireplace with an electric wood burner and bread oven as a focal point, along with an electric fan woodburning stove for cooler evenings. The adjacent kitchen/diner is fully equipped for self-catering and provides a wonderful space for shared meals around the dining table.
Bifold doors open to the decked terrace at the rear of the cottage, offering a perfect spot for enjoying a morning cup of coffee while taking in views of Uplyme, the church, and the rolling Devon countryside beyond. Steps lead down to the enclosed garden, providing a tranquil retreat for relaxation with various patio seating areas for alfresco dining when the weather permits. Upstairs, you will find two bedrooms - a king-size bedroom and a twin room, with a family bathroom also located on this floor, along with a stylish shower room on the ground floor.
