Located next to the main house, The Steading, this property is a lovely spot to call home while exploring the northeast of Scotland with friends and family. After a day of rambling, get comfortable within the open-plan living space, housing a welcoming sofa for three, an armchair and a TV for entertainment, plus a dining table for mealtimes. Your nearest amenities can be found a short journey away in Newtonhill, home to a supermarket, café, convenience store and pharmacy, as well as two welcoming pubs and a rocky bay to explore caves, rock pools and admire the surrounding fisherman huts. Be sure to visit Stonehaven during your stay at The Bothy; Dunnottar Castle is a fascinating, historic site with stories to uncover, stroll along the scenic harbour or take a dip in the outdoor swimming pool. The wonderful city of Aberdeen lies in the north, where a bustling harbour welcomes you for an afternoon at the Maritime Museum, a wander through one of 45 parks and gardens, or take a spooky tour of the city with Aberdeen Ghost Walks, stopping off at some of the most historical landmarks in the area and learning about their exciting past. Before returning to The Bothy, visit Banchory, the start of the Royal Deeside boasting two golf clubs, the 16th-century fairy-tale like Crathes Castle, and The Barn, an intimate space staging traditional and contemporary events. The Bothy is a lovely little property, well-placed for touring north-east Scotland. EPC Rating: Band C
