Inverurie is a small town located around 17 miles from Aberdeen and a quiet place for a luxury self-catering getaway. Many of the houses here are built from stone and granite and this small town is surrounded by unspoilt Scottish countryside. The town has its own golf club and it’s also possible to enjoy a spot of fishing on the River Ury. Also close by is the impressive sight of Bennachie, officially described as a hill, the highest point of which reaches almost 1800 feet, making this an excellent area for walking and hiking.

For day trips out on a luxury cottage break in this area of Scotland you can discover the granite city of Aberdeen close by with its tempting selection of different shops, restaurants, bars and pubs. Made rich with the oil industry, Aberdeen also has some award winning restaurants, art galleries and a theatre.
