Pembrokeshire’s Spectacular Coastline

Charming Seaside Towns
The beach and harbour resort Tenby is a beautifully picturesque town and a stunning location in which to enjoy a special romantic break for 2 or a family holiday with the kids. Its colourful seafront offers an array of restaurants and shops, and further in the town you will find a wide variety of traditional pubs and quaint gift shops set along narrow cobbled streets. 3 miles away, Saundersfoot is another attractive coastal town with a lovely harbour. Take a boat out from St. David’s to the beautiful RSPB reserve, Ramsey Island, where you will find a magnificent variety of sea birds and marine mammals.
A Rural Wonderland in Ceredigion
Framed by the Cambrian Mountains, Ceredigion is an intriguing mix of stunning coastline and fascinating wildlife. Here you will find unspoilt beaches, plenty of breathing space and traditional farms so it’s the perfect spot for a rural retreat getaway. Perfect coves dot the coast and the rural market towns have brilliant art galleries where the wealth of local artists exhibit their works. Carmarthenshire is where you’ll find lush green landscapes and secluded forests, such as the Brechfa and Crychan forests, which are a great choice for off-road cycling. Carmarthenshire is a great place for bookworms to take their luxury breaks as it is also known to be the inspiration-ground for Wales’ most famous literary export Dylan Thomas.
A City Break in Swansea
Swansea has all the charm of a seaside town, with all the amenities and activities of a city. Here you will find great food and shopping opportunities, and the nearby village of Mumbles and the stunning Gower Peninsula will provide you with the rural charm you may crave when taking a city break. Afan and the Vale of Neath are also not far from Swansea, and are known as Wales’ ‘Waterfall Country.’ Afan Forest Park is the perfect place for the family to spend a day walking and picnicking.

• If you want fantastic pub food, don’t miss Y Ffarmers in the pretty village of Llanfihangel y Creuddyn near Aberystwyth. Here you’ll find quality, seasonal local food at affordable prices and their well-kept beer is known for miles around.
• If you’re walking the Ceredigion Coast, don’t neglect to look out for bottlenose dolphins from Cardigan Bay. Here you can also often see seals, porpoise and many species of bird.
