Tarbert is a pretty little village located in Argyll and Bute by the shores of the Firth of Clyde. Traditionally a fishing village, Tarbert is home to a supremely picturesque harbour with attractive houses dotted along the hillside and with its waterside setting, is a scenic place for a luxury cottage break.
By the harbour there is a gallery as well as a couple of cafes where you can happily while away the time whilst on a luxury self-catering break. Tarbert once had its own castle, the ruins of which remain and can be found via the footpath on Harbour Street. If you enjoy visiting historical buildings, travel further afield for Inveraray Castle, a true Scottish gem. For woodland walks head for Kilmory Woodland Park, located on the outskirts of nearby Lochgilphead.
