Damage Responsibility Policy

If you accidentally damage something at the holiday home you are staying at, we recommend that you inform the owner/agency straight away.  Most owners will accept that accidental breakages of a minor item like a cup or a plate for example do sometimes occur and will not seek to charge you for it.

The damage responsibility policy can also be used by owners/agencies to cover additional unexpected cleaning costs if these become necessary as a result of your stay, or charges for missing items.

Remember, you are liable for any damage to the property, and the contents of the property, caused by yourself or any members of your party during your stay, so please take care of the holiday home you are staying in.

If the owner or agency reports damage to us following your stay, they will be asked to provide evidence of any damage including photos to us within 5 days of your departure from the property.  You may then be issued with a damage reimbursement request by email along with details of any photographic evidence.  You will have 24 hours to respond to this.  If we receive no response from you, then your card will be charged.  We will review any evidence and check that any damage charge is reasonable before making any charges to your card.

If you are charged for damage, you will have 60 days to appeal the charge.
