Cilfach is a detached cottage in the grounds of the owners' home on the edge of the Mid Wales town of Llanfyllin near to Lake Vyrnwy. The eco-friendly cottage sleeps six people in three bedrooms (one double and two twins) and three bathrooms. The cottage also contains a fitted kitchen and a sitting room with a dining area and a woodburner. Outside the cottage is off road parking for two cars and a patio and lawn with outdoor furniture. Perfectly located for discovering this lovely region, Cilfach is a superb holiday home for a family group.
Set deep in the scenic Cain Valley, the charming town of Llanfyllin is surrounded by rolling hills and the Berwyn Mountains. Situated in this wonderful area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this lovely little town offers a wide variety of architecture from different periods, including a 19th Century workhouse featured on the BBC 'Restoration' programme.

Powys is the largest county in Wales covering central and mid Wales as well as the majority of the Brecon Beacons. With unspoilt countryside, inspiring mountain ranges and exciting opportunities, Powys is a wonderful county to visit for an insight into Welsh culture. There is no chance of you getting bored in this fantastic county due to the stunning rivers, beautiful haunted castles, fantastic mountain trails and brilliant cycle paths. There are so many opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors you will be spoilt for choice. Spend the day fishing at a quiet lake or river, enjoy a family hack through superb woodland, go for a paddle on the River Wye in a canoe or enjoy a sunny game of golf. If, however you have come to Wales to kick back and relax then there are also some brilliant attractions that you may wish to spend your days investigating such as Llwernog Silver- Lead mines and Geo-caverns, Glansevern Hall Gardens, Montgomery Castle or Tretower Castle and Court. Family fun can be had at Gigrin Farm, the Brecon Mountain Railway and King Arthur’s Labyrinth. Before you leave this spectacular part of Britain don’t forget to visit one of the fabulous farmers markets and gather together some luxurious locally produced goods for you to take home with you. You may even wish to visit a market at the start of your holiday to collect together all your weekly food necessities. However if you prefer not to cook whilst on holiday then why not visit a fantastic local pub or restaurant to get a taste of some of the delicious local produce grown and reared here.
