When it comes to booking a luxury cottage you will undoubtedly want to find the best possible deal. In the past, some people used to leave holiday bookings right until the last minute in the hope of finding a great late deal. This sometimes works today but things have now changed a bit.
Late deals can still be found but if you leave it right until the last minute, choice will be limited and you may have to make other comprises. For example, if you are looking for a romantic luxury cottage you may find limited choice and have to consider 2 bedroom cottages which may in the end not offer you any savings at all when you end up paying for the extra accommodation you don’t need.
You may be lucky though and bag a bargain for an ideal property late in the day but it is largely a matter of chance. Many luxury properties get booked up well in advance nowadays, particularly those offering unique or atmospheric accommodation and managing to book one of these properties last minute is unlikely. If you want to try and bag a last minute bargain, take a look at our last minute cottages page. It’s always worth asking owners or agencies about best possible prices.
When looking to get the best price on your luxury cottage holiday, it usually pays to specifically ask the owner for their best possible price, discounts or special offers. You can always ask if they have any special offers or whether there are any free added extras that they could offer you. You may find that they are already offering their best possible price but you won’t know until you ask. As a general rule if you don’t ask, you don’t get so where’s the harm in asking?
